On the final day of a suicidal alcoholic named Kuba Kowalski, he experiences intense anxiety and paranoid delusions that are reminiscent of Kafka's work. This film, based on Marek Hlasko's book 'The First Step in the Clouds', is a frenzy of cinematic hallucinations that depict Kuba's struggle with isolation.
